Owner Kokichi Hagiwara treated WAAJ visitors to tours of his 1924 home in Tokyo, an Important Cultural Property of Setagaya Ward. Designed by Arata Endo, its innovative T shape enables garden views along the length of its central hallway. Hagiwara has perfectly maintained the building, and when his concert violinist daughter needed rehearsal space, commissioned a new wing that echoes the beauty of the original home.
